In college, I started a jewelry business. d'Andelot (my middle name) is the synthesis of two disparate ideals: that of the functional and the beautiful. The combination of industrial chain and delicate decorative elements such as vintage brooches, Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls represents an admiration for both the brute physicality of heavy chain and the traditional idea of jewelry as decoration.
